Senior Camogie

Last Sunday evening the girls faced Kilmaley in a reconvened first round of the senior camogie league.
The game took place in Kilmaley on Sunday evening.Clooney lost out by one point on a very sticky heavy pitch.
On many occasions the referee had to throw the ball in as it disappeared into the ground.
FT Score Kilmaley 1-4 Clooney Quin 0-6.

At half time it was 3 points each and all to play for. It appeared that both sides were without some players but the second half produced a much tougher battle than the first with the ground very tough to manage the girls put in a strong second half performance. Both teams had opportunities to pull away in the second half but did not take advantage of them. Kilmaley managed to get the last score of the game from a free with a minute to go on the clock.
