All Ireland Under 21 Hurling Championship Final

Semple Stadium Thurles @ 5.00pm

Clare v Antrim   2-28  0-12      (HT   2-16  0-04)    Referee ; C Lyons of Cork

First win at this grade was in 2009.This is Clares third Under 21 All Ireland title in Five Years and second in succession. With four of Clare seniors who stared in last Sundays All Ireland Hurling Final draw with Cork, help to demolish Antrim before half-time, Just after the interval Tony Kelly Podge Collins David McInerney and Colm Galvin were rested. Our own ClooneyQuin man,Peter Duggan helped to entertain the crowd who is still under21 for 2014. Good day to have your 20th Birthday.Happy Birthday Peter Also not to forget Keith Hogan also part of the Clare Under 21 Panel. Lets make three in a row in 2014. Tall order, maybe not.

Great crowd turned out to Support the young prospects of today and tomorrow going forward.Official count 11,148 in attendence plus all the Children under16,so Maybe over 15,000 would be more realistic.A lot of people didnt get in until half time because of traffic on the Nenagh road into Thurles. But still charged full wak.Good on the GAA. Will the penny ever drop.
